One Piece 1128 - Read
One Piece 1128 Page 8 of Elbaf Arc. Anyone else feel like oda is channeling his inner-loki here and being a little tricky with us readers? I'm guessing the "Giants" we saw in the first few pages of the chapter weren't giants at all, just humans living in elbaf, possibly just dressed up as giants. There may be a little hint at this in the small note on the first page that reads "Giant confusion!!", which implies the current state of confusion of the "Giants" as well as the separated straw hat group, but could also be a subtle hint that we readers are being confused. Take a look at the size of the "Stingermols" (bees) compared to the "Giants" in the first few pages...They seem to be about the same relative size as the stingermol zapped by nami (I.E. The "Giants" are the same size as nami). It also seems like oda may purposely pointing this relative size similarity out to the readers by showing nami's stingermol in the page immediately following the "Giants'" stingermols. Narratively, nami's stingermol doesn't serve much purpose otherwise.
Additionally, the "Giants" mention an enormous rabbit, the ear god. For a rabbit to be considered "Enormous" to a giant, it would have to be truly colossal. But it's implied the monster trio already defeated and ate this enormous rabbit with little effort...Which seems unlikely if the rabbit was truly enormous to a real giant.
I think there are humans on elbaf dressed up like giants, and are living in a lego village. The straw hats are also dressed up like giants and were placed in a giant lego castle. It feels like this whole thing could be loki just playing around with his human "Toys." since loki is traditionally known as a shapeshifter, I wouldn't even be surprised if he himself was the cat/lion (many have already pointed out the crown resembling a previously shown silhouette of loki) playing around with his new toys.
