Spider-Man 3 Movie Title Revealed: No Way Home

On Wednesday, through coordinated posts by Tom Holland, Sony Pictures and Spider-Man Movie the true title was revealed. This video showed how some confusion caused by Director Jon Watts, caused the trio to make an uncoordinated attempt at a title reveal. The video shows Tom leaving Jon Watts’ room, as he reveals that he was again fed misinformation. He was befuddled by this as he asks his co-stars “Name me one thing I’ve actually spoiled!” Zendaya and Jacob were quickly retorted how it made sense considering he did reveal the last movie title. The trio walks out when the camera pans towards a whiteboard which revealed the true title of the movie ‘Spider-Man No Way Home’. Sony and Marvel Studios have set the release date of Spider-Man Now Way Home for 17th December 2021. The movie is slated to be released in cinemas worldwide but it may vary depending on the ongoing Pandemic. Prior to this, three MCU films are scheduled: Black Widow (May 7), Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (July 9), and Eternals (November 5). With Filmmaker Jon Watts back as the Director, Tom Holland is set to reprise his role as Peter Parker/ Spider-Man. He will be joined by Zendaya and Jacob Batalon as Michelle Jones and Ned Leeds respectively.

Spider-Man: No Way Home is also set to feature Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange. The movie is rumoured to delve into the multiverse where we will witness different generations of Spider-Man films come together. This is backed up by the casting of two other members. Alfred Molina, who played Doctor Octopus in Tobey Maguire’s ‘Spider-Man 2’ and Jamie Foxx who played Electro in Andrew Garfield’s ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2’ are set to appear in the movie. The theory discussed above along with these casting add fuel to the multiverse speculation. After the release of Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) and Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019), we all have been waiting for the sequel, for quite some time. The last movie saw Spider-man’s identity being revealed to the public. So, we have been waiting to see its aftermath. Last year, some news regarding the movie surfaced as we found out that now we will be going into the multiverse. This opened up the possibilities of appearance from Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield as well. But, nothing was truly confirmed. Now after some time, new information surrounding the movie has surfaced. Until now, the movie was untitled but now it seems Spider-Man’s next big-screen adventure has a name. This was done through a sort of marketing tizzy Marvel fans were sent to, following social media posts put up by the cast members. The Spider-Man trio, Tom Holland, Zendaya and Jacob Batalon shared different glimpses of the Spider-Man 3 on Tuesday. At first, the fans were pretty excited to finally see news regarding the movie. But as they learned all three of the cast members posted different movie names, it was apparent that the Marvel fans were being trolled. But the good thing to come out of these posts were, that we got some stills from the movie. Starting with Tom Holland, his post shows Peter Parker, Ned and M.J. looking slightly worried as stand in a sort of abandoned establishment. The title card shared by him reads Spider-Man: Phone Home. Jacob Batalon shared the next image where the trio is at the base of the staircase, looking slightly fearful. The title card shared by her reads Spider-Man: Home-Wrecker. Lastly, the image shared by Zendaya shows Ned looking concerned working on his laptop as Peter Parker and M.J. look over him. The title card shared by him reads Spider-Man: Home-Slice. It was evident that the posts were just banter towards Tom Holland, who is known to have spoiled things in the past. But, Marvel fans started to wonder if these title names were actual hints dropped about the film. All of us had previously heard regarding the movie having a ‘Spider-Verse’ connection. So, the fans have theorized how the title names were references to the upcoming movie plot. The title ‘Home Slice’ could be a reference to Tobey Maguire’s Peter Parker, who in Spider-Man 2 was a part-time pizza delivery boy. ‘Phone Home’ could be a reference to a scene in Andrew Garfield’s ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ series. While ‘Home Wrecker’ is believed to be a reference to Tony Stark and Aunt May’s flirtatious exchange in ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’.

Square Bitcoin Purchase 170 Million Investment Cryptocurrency

Square has just made another colossal investment in bitcoin, more than tripling its last investment in the cryptocurrency with a $170 million purchase of tokens. The digital payments company, which is run by vocal bitcoin advocate and Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, disclosed the investment in its quarterly earnings report on Tuesday.

The company purchased about 3,318 bitcoins at an average price of $51,236, which signals remarkable confidence in bitcoin as it reaches record heights and invites renewed skepticism about its stability. “Aligned with the company’s purpose, Square believes that cryptocurrency is an instrument of economic empowerment, providing a way for individuals to participate in a global monetary system and secure their own financial future,” reads the company’s press release announcing the purchase. “The investment is part of Square’s ongoing commitment to bitcoin, and the company plans to assess its aggregate investment in bitcoin relative to its other investments on an ongoing basis.” Square first announced a major bitcoin investment in October of last year when it purchased $50 million worth of tokens when a single bitcoin cost a little over $10,000. The current price of a single bitcoin is just under $50,000, following a slight dip after the currency’s months-long surge to an eventual all-time high of just over $58,000 earlier this week.

Sony Announces Nextgen VR System Playstation 5 Release

Sony has given players the first few insights into its upcoming next-gen VR system for Playstation 5 in a blog entry today, attributed to Hideaki Nishino, Sony’s senior vice president of platform planning and management. The long-rumored release will not happen in 2021, but Sony has revealed a few details on innovations to expect. The headset will feature enhanced resolution and field of view and connect to the PS5 console with one cord: “to simplify setup and improve ease-of-use, while enabling a high-fidelity visual experience,” according to the statement.

The post also details upcoming innovations to the new VR controller. “It  will incorporate some of the key features found in the DualSense wireless controller, along with a focus on great ergonomics,” he writes. Further details were revealed in a Washington Post interview with Sony CEO Jim Ryan, also published today. Ryan revealed that Sony will begin distributing development kits for the headset soon, and emphasized (as in the blog post) that it will improve on some of the first-gen headset’s more inconvenient limitations like the multiple cords and camera adapter needed to use the PlayStation VR headset on PS5. “Generational leaps allows you to sweep up the advances in technology that have taken place,” Ryan said, as quoted by the Post. “Given this was our first foray into virtual reality, it gives us a chance to apply lessons learned.” Sony’s first dip into virtual reality, with Playstation VR, launched in June 2016 on PlayStation 4 for $399 USD, and you may recall Vader Immortal and the Hitman trilogy among its more recent playable titles. Sony also added a Minecraft VR upgrade in September.

Ps5 And Xbox Series X: Every Game Coming Out In 2021 And Beyond

Just over two months after their release, the PS5 and Xbox Series X / S continue to be some of the most desirable gadgets in the world. While it’s still very difficult to get your hands on a new console, those lucky enough to own one can enjoy something unprecedented in modern gaming history. For the first time, next-gen console owners can take their existing library whether it’s physical, digital, or a mix of the two and bring it to a next-gen platform.

That gives consumers unprecedented freedom in deciding where they want to play and what performance benefits are worthwhile enough to upgrade. And technologies like cross-platform play and now even cross-generation support will allow people to still play with their friends, even if they don’t upgrade to the latest gaming hardware.

Yes, both consoles arrived within seven years of the last generation of console hardware. And while it’s likely within the first year of both consoles’ lifespan that many of the hottest titles may launch on last- and current-gen simultaneously, there’s still a good chunk of games that will be exclusive titles playable only a PS5 or Xbox Series X / S.

Besides 4K, the solid-state drives, and other spec changes, Microsoft and Sony have pledged to support close to every title in the existing console platforms’ libraries. Every Xbox, Xbox 360, and Xbox One game currently playable on existing Xbox One hardware (minus Kinect games) will be playable on the Series X / S, while Sony is supporting a “vast majority” of PS4 games, totaling more than 4,000 titles. With both consoles early into their lifespan, it’s easy for many to return to older games to help fill the gap in between long wait periods for more titles to be added to each console’s library.

This changes the calculus a bit with regard to buying a new console. No longer do you have to abandon what you were playing on your old device and start anew. And thanks to some genuinely consumer-friendly initiatives like Xbox Smart Delivery and similar upgrade programs, plenty of the games we own now or are planning to buy in the next couple of months will not only work on the new platforms, but in most cases, they’ll also come with free upgrades from the standard PS4 and Xbox One versions. Sony also introduced the PlayStation Plus Collection, a library of PS4 games available for free with its online subscription service.

That leaves us with one big issue: how do you know what new games are coming out for which platforms and when? There’s also the painstaking process of parsing whether a game company is giving out a free next-gen upgrade of a cross-gen title, charging a little extra, or releasing a next-gen-only game.

2021 is packed full of new releases and full optimizations of cross-gen games that should further pad out what’s available to play on your new system of choice. We’ve compiled the list below to help you understand every game coming out during the first year of the PS5 and Xbox Series X / S.

This excludes games without release dates that may have been previously announced like Elder Scrolls VI and the Fable reboot, for example and any games that were released for either console in 2020, including launch titles. We’ve also chosen only to list release dates for games where the publisher has chosen a concrete date with both day and month.

2021 Golden Globe Movie And TV Show Nominations Revealed

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association is announcing the nominees for the 2021 Golden Globes today. The nominations come later than usual this awards cycle as the window for nominees was expanded as part of a larger push to adapt to the ways the pandemic has shifted industry norms. The ceremony is set to air February 28 and will be the first major awards ceremony of the 2021 cycle. The Academy Awards have been pushed back to April 25, leaving room for the Golden Globes to take the lead in this year's cycle.

Despite the limited amount of releases in 2020, there are some films and shows to be on the lookout for. It's more than likely that streamers like Netflix and Amazon will lead the nominations in television with a plethora of content to choose from, including Ozark, The Crown, and The Queen's Gambit. Amazon is also hoping to sneak in there with The Boys, its most popular original series to date. On the film side, all eyes will be on Chloe Zhao to see if her festival hit Nomadland makes it into the major categories. Other films to look out for include Amazon's One Night in Miami, directed by Regina King, Promising Young Woman, Netflix's Mank, The Trial of the Chicago 7, and Ma Rainey's Black Bottom.

You can read through the full list of nominations below. Promising Young Woman and Nomadland made a strong turnout, as expected. This year's Golden Globes also made history in its Best Directing category - it is the first time three women are nominated in the category together and the first time in six years that a woman has been nominated in the category at all. The Mandalorian's nomination for Best Drama Series is an exciting addition as well, one that will surely please Disney+, as it is the streamer's first nomination for its original content. Unsurprisingly, The Crown garnered several nominations, with the Netflix series likely to score wins in a few of the acting categories.

The Mandalorian is coming to kill you in Fortnite's latest LTM

Everyone loves The Mandalorian, badass mercenary and spiritual father to a bug-eyed frog child. But Mando doesn't love you back in fact, in Fortnite's latest Limited Time Mode, the Boba Fett knock-off is coming to hunt you down and freeze you in carbonite (figuratively speaking). Live now and running through February 9th, Mando's Bounty adds the titular gun-for-hire to the game as a deadly NPC.

Each player gets three lives to rack up the highest bounty they can by killing other players and NPCs, with a bonus payout for assigned targets. At the same time, Mando will be scouring the map for whoever's currently in first place. Victory requires taking the bounty hunter down, and winning will net you a special Beskar Umbrella. Granted, you yourself might be wearing a Mandalorian skin. Talk about Attack Of The Clones, eh? Fortnite's latest season continues the game's status as a pop-culture blender, including everyone from The Predator and The Terminator to videogame murderblokes like Master Chief and Kratos. I do hope this sets a precedent for all your previous mercenary skins coming back to kill you in future LTMs. Maybe Epic can add an extra-special one featuring Agent 47, just for Fraser.
