To me, he seems nothing more than "alone" with no further objective other than maintaining the status quo. Joyboy and Imu were potentially friends during their time? wonder where and when did it all go so wrong for them then if so. It appears the 20 kings and joyboy were good friends. So they used to be friend, must be somebody betrayed somebody. Imu has been alive for centuries at the very least, if not thousands upon thousands of years. Plenty of time to train in all sorts of things. It makes sense, if anything it'd be a huge letdown if such an ancient being who appears to be effectively immortal, had no clue how to do things. I'm not sure if you've seen Castlevania, but Dracula in that show/game was a genius of science and had collected all sorts of knowledge throughout his lengthy life.
