Spider-Man 3 Movie Title Revealed: No Way Home

On Wednesday, through coordinated posts by Tom Holland, Sony Pictures and Spider-Man Movie the true title was revealed. This video showed how some confusion caused by Director Jon Watts, caused the trio to make an uncoordinated attempt at a title reveal. The video shows Tom leaving Jon Watts’ room, as he reveals that he was again fed misinformation. He was befuddled by this as he asks his co-stars “Name me one thing I’ve actually spoiled!” Zendaya and Jacob were quickly retorted how it made sense considering he did reveal the last movie title. The trio walks out when the camera pans towards a whiteboard which revealed the true title of the movie ‘Spider-Man No Way Home’. Sony and Marvel Studios have set the release date of Spider-Man Now Way Home for 17th December 2021. The movie is slated to be released in cinemas worldwide but it may vary depending on the ongoing Pandemic. Prior to this, three MCU films are scheduled: Black Widow (May 7), Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (July 9), and Eternals (November 5). With Filmmaker Jon Watts back as the Director, Tom Holland is set to reprise his role as Peter Parker/ Spider-Man. He will be joined by Zendaya and Jacob Batalon as Michelle Jones and Ned Leeds respectively.

Spider-Man: No Way Home is also set to feature Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Strange. The movie is rumoured to delve into the multiverse where we will witness different generations of Spider-Man films come together. This is backed up by the casting of two other members. Alfred Molina, who played Doctor Octopus in Tobey Maguire’s ‘Spider-Man 2’ and Jamie Foxx who played Electro in Andrew Garfield’s ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2’ are set to appear in the movie. The theory discussed above along with these casting add fuel to the multiverse speculation. After the release of Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) and Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019), we all have been waiting for the sequel, for quite some time. The last movie saw Spider-man’s identity being revealed to the public. So, we have been waiting to see its aftermath. Last year, some news regarding the movie surfaced as we found out that now we will be going into the multiverse. This opened up the possibilities of appearance from Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield as well. But, nothing was truly confirmed. Now after some time, new information surrounding the movie has surfaced. Until now, the movie was untitled but now it seems Spider-Man’s next big-screen adventure has a name. This was done through a sort of marketing tizzy Marvel fans were sent to, following social media posts put up by the cast members. The Spider-Man trio, Tom Holland, Zendaya and Jacob Batalon shared different glimpses of the Spider-Man 3 on Tuesday. At first, the fans were pretty excited to finally see news regarding the movie. But as they learned all three of the cast members posted different movie names, it was apparent that the Marvel fans were being trolled. But the good thing to come out of these posts were, that we got some stills from the movie. Starting with Tom Holland, his post shows Peter Parker, Ned and M.J. looking slightly worried as stand in a sort of abandoned establishment. The title card shared by him reads Spider-Man: Phone Home. Jacob Batalon shared the next image where the trio is at the base of the staircase, looking slightly fearful. The title card shared by her reads Spider-Man: Home-Wrecker. Lastly, the image shared by Zendaya shows Ned looking concerned working on his laptop as Peter Parker and M.J. look over him. The title card shared by him reads Spider-Man: Home-Slice. It was evident that the posts were just banter towards Tom Holland, who is known to have spoiled things in the past. But, Marvel fans started to wonder if these title names were actual hints dropped about the film. All of us had previously heard regarding the movie having a ‘Spider-Verse’ connection. So, the fans have theorized how the title names were references to the upcoming movie plot. The title ‘Home Slice’ could be a reference to Tobey Maguire’s Peter Parker, who in Spider-Man 2 was a part-time pizza delivery boy. ‘Phone Home’ could be a reference to a scene in Andrew Garfield’s ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ series. While ‘Home Wrecker’ is believed to be a reference to Tony Stark and Aunt May’s flirtatious exchange in ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’.
