The truth is that luffy uses no brain at all here. He just makes the sound effects and pose to set the vibes. It wouldn't surprise me if we continue to see moves like this that could be inspired by his own crew's moves. We already know luffy created red hawk as inspired by his brother.

Why wouldn't he do something similar for the crew he so dearly admires and loves?
