Persona 3 Reload Trailer
ATLUS has released official trailers in both English and Japanese for the upcoming remake of the Persona 3 RPG video game, titled Persona 3 Reload. The original game initially debuted in Japan in 2006 for the PlayStation 2, followed by a North American release in 2007. Since then, the game has seen various iterations and re-releases.
The trailer indicates that while the fundamental premise and characters remain true to the original game, several enhancements have been implemented. This includes a previously unrevealed backstory for the main antagonist, Strega, as well as brand-new battle mechanics and connected episode footage.
Despite these changes, Persona 3 Reload will retain a battle interface reminiscent of the original game's design. In the 2006 PS2 release, the side-profile avatars for the four playable characters were arranged vertically on the right side of the screen—a design no longer used in newer releases like Persona 5 and its spinoffs. In the trailer, ATLUS and P Studio have resurrected this nostalgic battle sequence appearance, which has been refined and optimized for a 16:9 screen ratio.
Now available for pre-order, Persona 3 Reload is set to launch on February 2, 2024, and will be accessible on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Game Pass, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, as well as PC via Windows and Steam. Stay tuned for further updates on the Persona 3 Reload official website.
