But anyone who thought that choice was as bold as Siwa was willing to go guessed wrong; on Saturday, the pop star made a major change by dyeing her platinum blond hair a dark chestnut brown hue.
Posting a TikTok video set to Miley Cyrus’ 2010 hit “Can’t Be Tamed,” Siwa showed off the transformation, garnering more than 9 million views and nearly 2 million likes.
“Not Jojo using the music Miley made when she started changing. I’m so excited,” one fan commented. “She just changed the game in a single Tik Tok,” another wrote. “She really is Hannah Montana,” a third chimed in.
On Instagram, the enthusiasm was just as high. Even Siwa’s former dance instructor Abby Lee Miller was shocked at her change, commenting, “AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA.”
